My name is Paul Serianni. I was born in 1969 and grew up in Utica, NY. I went to Utica public schools and
always had a passion for art, along with working with my hands. I scored A's throughout my school years in Art,
and won several key awards that gave me the confidence I needed to attend Mohawk Valley Community
College. I took Advertising, Design, and Production and again, scored well, with a 3.26 GPA for 4 semesters,
receiving an AAS. I was recognized on the President's List 2 of 4 semesters.

Experience
I kept an extreme passion for art and worked part-time while in college, sign-making for a large company. I
started a family by marrying my beautiful wife, Karin. We soon had our first daughter,, Hallie, and soon we had a
second girl, Lindsay. What great gifts. I really needed to better my financial status and pursued a corporate
position with a business that could offer a competitive salary, plus benefits. This also helped me learn about how
to run a business.

Passion for sign-making
In 2004, I decided to make a go of the business full-time. We conduct business by having Karin receive calls
from customers and providing information to them, along with myself speaking to, emailing, and visiting
customers routinely. The business grew and I decided to hire additional help. Several people came and went,
and I ended up with a great employee, by the name of Matthew McCutcheon, who is heavily involved with
Fabrication and Installation. He also dabs in the design part as well, as he is an excellent artist. We really have
put out quite a few signs in the area, along with the Capitol Region, as you can see the many samples in our
portfolio. |
